What We Do: Glass Stairs, Toughened Glass, Architectural Metalwork, Glass Processors
Based in Essex, we are glass processors, architectural metalwork fabricators and installers, with a passion for producing high quality glass stairs, worktops, entrances, conservatories and internat screens. We started out life in the late seventies as an emergency glazing company but quickly progressed into the world of bespoke installations with the addition of some of the first CNC glass processing equipment installed in the UK.
This helped us complete award winning projects such as the Sackler Gallery at the Royal Academy of Arts and the stunning cantilevered canopy to the entrance of the Tokyo International Forum.
Whilst we are not designers, we have a team of draughtsmen with a wealth of experience to enable us to bring your design concepts into reality.
As glass processors our capabilities are extensive and whilst our installations grab most of the headlines, the glass work we carry out on a 24 hour basis forms a large part of our supply only business to other glass companies, shop fitters etc. This has called for the installation of our second toughened glass plant, again one of the largest installed in the UK and capable of producing toughened glass up to 3000mm x 5000mm.
From our Essex base our in-house fabrication of all types of architectural metalwork includes purpose made fittings for balustrades, canopies, doors etc. Pressed channels to suit individual requirements, ring rolling, hand polishing of stainless steel all go together to compliment our glass stairs and other glass work.
Whilst we are not designers, we can take your design intent and bring to an ultimate working solution. We have no generic system to sell or promote. A typical path would be that your drawings are received with a brief specification and scope of works. From here, initial discussions can take place and costs offered. Our costs would allow for developing your design and if this is acceptable a first stage meeting can take place to discuss the finer details. We will provide full working and fabrication drawings, structural engineers input and calculations if required.
